Truly authentic on Instagram

What makes up the ‘Family of Pioneers’? What does everyday working life look like? What keeps employees in other regions of the world busy? Answers are now available on ALPLA's Instagram channel. The employees themselves get to work and tell their stories from their own perspective. They introduce themselves and their team, take you behind the scenes of the family corporation and present joint initiatives. ‘On Instagram, we don't focus on trade fairs or innovative products. There are other channels for that. It's all about our culture and the people who make it up,’ says Corporate HR Specialist Talita Stresser.

Who could speak better and more authentically about the many benefits than motivated employees.

More than 24,000 employees work at ALPLA in numerous jobs around the globe. They develop, manufacture, test and sell, order, maintain, clean, pack and recycle. They take care of IT, personnel and finances, organise trade fairs and advertise. It is precisely this diversity that is key to success. ‘All over the world, our customers receive safe, affordable and sustainable packaging solutions for their products. This is only possible because so many of us put our talents and skills to good use. Now they get a stage,’ announces Stresser.

It looks like this, for example: Plant Manager Dora Pitel shows how her working day starts in Dayton, Ohio. She welcomes the team and sets to work with motivation. Jump across the Atlantic to Austria. Here, young people from Open Youth Work Dornbirn present the ALPLA Magic Bag made from old lorry tarpaulins and roll-ups. Company childcare and the ALPLA Kids program for families will be discussed on Mother's Day. The teams from Mexico, Romania, France, Vietnam and Thailand show what they did this year on the annual ‘World Day for Safety and Health at Work’. Stories such as the inspiring encounter between the two trainers Yaya from Spain and Hervé from France round off the presentation. ‘Each contribution adds value, helping us see what truly resonates with our audience and how we can connect through authentic, inspiring storytelling,’ says Global Online Marketing Specialist Yusuf Dünmez.

ALPLA Ambassadors

The new initiative on Instagram is part of ALPLA's global ambassadors project in the HR department. ‘People enjoy working at ALPLA. They identify with our values and our culture. We want to use this to attract new talent and promote a sense of belonging among our employees. Who could speak better and more authentically about the many benefits than motivated employees? They are our ambassadors,’ emphasises project manager Talita Stresser.

The ALPLA Ambassadors represent the family business and are convinced that ALPLA is a good and recommendable employer. They make this clear in conversations with friends and acquaintances, on social media and, in future, online via Instagram. ‘The posts are deliberately not professional masterpieces, but honest, genuine and likeable. They reflect the real lives of our employees and show who we are,’ concludes Stresser.
